After a specific Blair Upper Cervical correction the patient rests in a quiet room for 10-20 minutes. The rest allows the body to re-gain control of the position of the corrected vertebra. This is ESSENTIAL to help maintain the upper cervical correction and to ensure that you can soon expect good health.
We perform a thorough history and analysis of every patient to determine if an atlas misalignment is present. Once determined that there is a misalignment affecting the bodies communication systems, x-rays will be taken followed by a very specific analysis of the upper cervical area.
At this point, we are able to perform the upper cervical adjustment to the atlas which is a very gentle, painless, and very specific adjustment to the top of the neck. There is no twisting, or popping of the neck. Previous neck trauma is normally not a contraindication to Upper Cervical Care.
